About Dr Josie Valderrama

I am a psychologist based in San Francisco specializing in gender, sexual & relational diversity + ethnic diversity + neurodiversity with a focus on addressing anxiety and related issues through an integrative mindfulness-experiential lens.

Background

A resident of San Francisco for 30 years, I was born & raised within the Filipino community of Echo Park, a neighborhood in the center of Los Angeles. Multiracial (Pangasinan and Scandinavian roots), neurodiverse, gender fluid, pansexual and non-monogamous in my orientation, I have straddled worlds and learned early on the tools of code switching, masking and the like. I have long resonated with both Bay Area alt culture and transpersonal consciousness exploration. As a practitioner, I endeavor to support diverse experiences by holding space for personal transformation within this rapidly changing outer reality.
